Plus, a book trailer is sort of a snapshot of the mindset a book is intended to create. I started with almost three hours of footage and cut it down to three minutes. There aren't a lot of outlets for book trailers, and most writers think they're a waste of time, but I love working with video production. But I'm truly happy with the final product. Last week it felt like every second of this video was taking an hour of fiddling and formatting and coloring and rendering. I should have been working on my writing.
